Terms of Service

Effective Date: 1 January 2024

Hostomy, a child brand of ZagFox Technologies Pvt. Ltd., is committed to providing the best web hosting, domain registration, and cloud server services to clients worldwide. By using our services, you agree to adhere to the following terms of service:

1. Payments

You agree to pay for our services on time and in advance for the billing cycle during which services are provided. Invoices are generated as follows:

  • Hosting services: Invoices are generated 10 days before the renewal date.
  • Domain renewal: Invoices are generated 30 days before the renewal date.

Hostomy provides a 5-day grace period after the renewal date. Failure to pay the invoice within this grace period will result in temporary service suspension. We will notify you of invoice generation via SMS (for India) and email.

We accept payments via the following methods:

  • Indian clients: Razorpay, Paytm, and Stripe payment gateways.
  • Clients outside India: PayPal and Stripe (please note, we do not accept payments from unverified PayPal accounts).

2. Service Activation

Our services, including Domain Registration, Web Hosting, and Cloud Servers, are typically activated instantly upon payment completion. However, delays may occur due to technical issues or if additional information is required from you.

In some cases, accounts may take longer to activate if they fail initial verification. We will contact you with further details to complete the verification.

3. Service Cancellation

To request service cancellation, create a support ticket from your Hostomy account. Please note that there is no cancellation or refund for domains, service licenses, or other addons.

If your domain was registered with Hostomy and has expired, but you wish to recover it during the redemption period, you may do so by paying a redemption fee. This fee does not include the registration price of the domain for the next year.

4. Service Termination

Shared hosting: Accounts 30 days past due will be automatically deleted from our servers, and no backups will be provided.

Cloud servers: Cloud Servers that are 10 days past due will be automatically deleted, and we cannot provide backups under any circumstances.

5. Service Backups

Hostomy takes daily backups for all shared hosting accounts. The use of our backups is at your sole risk. We do not charge for restoring or providing backups unless the hosting service is canceled. Hostomy is not responsible for data residing on your account.

Please note that we do not provide backups for Cloud or Storage servers.

6. Banned Scripts

The following scripts are banned on our servers due to adverse effects on server load, security, and other considerations:

  • IRC egg drops
  • Proxy servers
  • Mail bombers
  • Anonymous mailers
  • IP spoofers
  • Port scanners
  • Hivemail
  • Telnet or SSH Access Scripts
  • Nph-proxy and similar scripts
  • UBB (Ultimate Bulletin Board, all versions)
  • Lstmrge.cgi
  • PhpShell
  • FormMail.cgi and FormMail.pl from Matt's Script Archive
  • Torrents
  • Phishing
  • Pornography
  • Nulled Scripts, Plugins, Themes

Using nulled scripts may result in the suspension or termination of your account without refund.

7. Service Monitoring

Shared hosting: Our shared hosting servers are monitored 24/7, 365 days a year.

Cloud servers: Monitoring for cloud servers is available as an addon. We will open a ticket with a detailed explanation of any issues detected.

8. Data Migration

We offer free migration for our web hosting service. If any issues arise after the migration due to incorrect setup, it is your responsibility to rectify them. If root access to the remote server is not provided, we can transfer up to 25 accounts for free. Additional accounts will incur a charge based on disk usage.

9. Additional IP

We provide additional IP addresses for our Cloud servers and dedicated IPs for shared hosting. We can offer up to 10 IP addresses per Cloud server, with additional information required for their usage. Any IP address used for spamming will be suspended immediately.

10. Server Uptime

Hostomy provides 99.9% uptime for its services. Downtime excludes required updates and hardware maintenance. We will inform you of any updates or maintenance in advance.

11. Changes in Terms of Service

Hostomy may modify this Agreement without advance notice. Changes will be posted on the Hostomy website, replacing the old agreement. Customers are responsible for regularly reviewing the terms of service for updates.
